Ethan Martin was born and raised in Southern Vermont, growing up as a nationally-ranked freestyle skier and traveling the country for competition. He eventually settled on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, heeding the call of big mountains, backcountry terrain and quality snowpack. While filming for a commercial in 2004, he hit a tree at high speed, suffering three shattered ribs and a broken back. With support from family and friends, he was able to make a full recovery. Switching focus, Ethan now rides a snowboard and specializes in design and branding for the outdoor and recreation industry, developing solutions for a variety of companies including Adidas Eyewear and Hugo Boss, as well as nonprofit organizations such as Charitysmith and Good 50 x 70.
Michelle Parker was born in Truckee, CA and lived in Squaw her whole life. Growing up with skiing as her day care, it was inevitable that this would become a big part of her life. She started out on the mighty might program and raced when she was older. At the age of fifteen Michelle switched her ambitions over to freeskiing and entered into her first big competition, the US Open. From then on out she have been focussing on competing, traveling, and skiing as much as possible. Michelle has had a couple of knee injuries, one of which she am battling right now. "Whenever I'm injured, I realize how important skiing is in my life. It is my biggest passion. I'm now a professional skier working to get through this injury and back on my skis."
