Mark Cernosia was born and raised in Burlington, Vermont. As an devoted snowboarder, he always dreamed about living out West, chasing the snow. After graduating from St. Michael's College in 2003, he moved to Lake Tahoe with some friends from college, including his girlfriend and now wife, Alicia. Mark has always loved shooting and editing video along with graphic design and web design/development. In 2007, he started Reelcomp.com, an online video website dedicated to snowboarding, skateboarding and surfing. While at Reelcomp, Mark was Creative Director and was able to expand his knowledge of new media. He has since sold Reelcomp and now lives back in Vermont, currently running his own design business, MFC Designs.
Michelle Parker was born in Truckee, CA and lived in Squaw her whole life. Growing up with skiing as her day care, it was inevitable that this would become a big part of her life. She started out on the mighty might program and raced when she was older. At the age of fifteen Michelle switched her ambitions over to freeskiing and entered into her first big competition, the US Open. From then on out she have been focussing on competing, traveling, and skiing as much as possible. Michelle has had a couple of knee injuries, one of which she is battling right now. "Whenever I'm injured, I realize how important skiing is in my life. It is my biggest passion. I'm now a professional skier working to get through this injury and back on my skis."
Nik David was born outside of Stockholm, Sweden and grew up ski racing in Stowe, Vermont. His first experiments with video came in high school, when he discovered that making short films was not only a great outlet for his creativity, but a way to charm his teachers into letting him pass his classes. After high school, he started special event videography business Doxa Studios with a friend from Stowe and still shoots weddings and events for Doxa on both coasts. Nik eventually moved to Santa Cruz for college and fell in love with California. After visiting his brother in Lake Tahoe over the holidays, Nik realized that there could really be no better place for a creative skiier and videographer to find his inspiration than in the Sierras. In 2010 Nik co-produced Unofficial Networks' Shane McConkey tribute documentary G.N.A.R., and he is excited to further support the ski community he loves through collaborating with High Fives.
Dr. James Lynch is a board-certified neurosurgeon with 19 years of experience, who specializes in complex spine surgery, cervical disorders, degenerative spine, spinal deformities, trauma, tumor infection and minimally invasive spine surgery. Becker’s Orthopedic & Spine Review has announced that Dr. Lynch has been selected for the "100 of the Best Spine Surgeons and Specialists in America" list in 2011.He earned his medical degree from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, followed by a residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Lynch went on to complete a spine fellowship at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queens Square, London, UK, followed by a spine fellowship at Mayo Clinic and an additional spine fellowship under Volker Sonntag, MD, at the prestigious Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ. As a leading authority on Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) development, Dr. Lynch lectures at national meetings on outpatient spine surgery. He serves as Chairman and Director of Spine Programs at Surgery Center of Reno.
